Role Summary
The Operations Team Leader oversees the efficient, compliant delivery of fire protection certification services. The role manages a small administrative team, ensures alignment with ISO/IEC 17065 requirements, and coordinates closely with technical, auditing, testing, subcontracting, and finance functions. The position requires strong organizational skills, leadership capability, and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, and develop the operational team to deliver accurate and timely outputs.
- Ensure full compliance with ISO/IEC 17065 and certification scheme requirements.
- Manage the Certification Revenue Tracker, including forecasting, reporting. supporting finance processes including invoicing, collections, and revenue assurance.
- Oversee the quoting process and support Business Development/Sales in securing new projects.
- Manage the full certification lifecycle: audit scheduling, auditor allocation, certification issuance, renewals, suspensions, and updates.
- Act as the main coordination point between clients, auditors, subcontractors, technical reviewers, and testing labs and with international teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Identify risks, delays, or non-conformities and escalate critical issues when needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, project tracking, and certification records.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Business, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in certification operations or technical administration.
- Knowledge of fire protection systems, ISO900 and ISO/IEC 17065 frameworks.
- Proven team leadership or supervisory experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project/certification systems.
